We are proud to announce that at the end of March 2023, Agence PDN obtained the certification that makes us a member of Google's TCRP program. This prestigious certification will allow us to strengthen our ability to fight piracy while improving the speed and efficiency of our takedowns.

What is the Trusted Copyright Removal Program (TCRP)?

Google's Trusted Copyright Removal Program (TCRP) is made up of a very small group of anti-piracy specialists – currently barely a few hundred companies.

The TCRP allows rights holders to improve the efficiency of the takedowns carried out by PDN, by opening a privileged line of dialogue with Google.

It is an important partnership built on mutual trust; admission to the program follows strict criteria, and only companies that file large volumes of requests, and above all companies with a track record of submitting precise and accurate DMCA notices, are selected.

Google checks this last criterion particularly closely.

Indeed, many inaccurate DMCA reports are sent every day by rights holders and anti-piracy companies alike – whether through negligence or real dishonesty – notably as a tool against competitors – so Google must make sure that the DMCA notices issued by its partners are issued for the right reasons.

Google's TCRP gives its members a tool that significantly speeds up anti-piracy work. It makes it possible to submit large volumes of links with each notice sent to Google, which is not possible with the standard takedown notice form.

The tool also allows better tracking of requests through history and categorization features, which, again, the usual form does not offer.

A gradual certification

New members of Google's Trusted Copyright Removal Program are first subject to a limited-access period. Google is looking to build a real relationship of trust between the program's members and itself.

Once this trial period has passed, access to the program is widened further for the permanently confirmed member.

And for our clients, what changes?

For you directly, nothing will change.

However, we will be more efficient when carrying out our missions for you, especially when it comes to having thousands of Google links removed. The quality of our service will therefore improve even further.

We will indeed be able to submit far larger volumes of links in our takedown notices, and Google's trust in our reports will guarantee you a much faster removal, without questions about the validity of the links submitted.

We look forward to putting our new certification to the test; so if you have content to protect, whether a film, a series, a music album or a live event, don't hesitate to contact one of our account managers, and we will be happy to help, so that you can take back control of your revenue!
